They are, imo for two reasons..
You dont want to take any signal away from the oe. sensor as the ECU uses it for knock correction..
The oe. sensor gives almost no display although the car may be detting..

I used my Knocklink at first with the oe. sensor and got one green every now and then.. fitted teh bosch sensor and got realistic readings..

Count me in.

Do yourself a favour, make it £35, as you are in for some aggro what with posting stuff and keeping track. Having done vaious things in the past, it can take some some.

Rob, after god knows how many years of having mine fitted, it might be a good idea to get a new sensor. So put me down.

What i plan to do is get a final price on either tues/weds this week, i will let this run for 1 week and then mail people where to post cheques to...
I must add, people who want one and reply to this must be willing to send a cheque out next weekend to make sure that everyone gets the sensors at the stated price. I know this is a bit blunt but you need to be sure that you will have the money next week so that no-one loses out..

I am very tempted to try and organise a Knocklink group buy, but they havent run very smoothly in the past and i know i can supply the sensors without any probs.. but i will need to rely on a 3rd party to supply the Knocklinks and AFAIK it can be difficult to get a number of them from Aus...

Rob,

Stick me down for a sensor too. Do these sensors have standard connectors? i.e. will they allow connection from either a Knocklink (old or new) or even a Scoobymania DIY one?

You can see the new sensor here

Right then..
The confirmed price is £30 including recorded delivery to your door.
A problem has come up though..
The guy who is supplying these at this price is going away for two weeks on wednesday...
So..i plan on mailing everybody now with a chance to buy one before he goes away.

Just a thought, can anyone confirm that these sensors will work with both the LED and gauge style knocklinks?

Good work fella, yeah put me down.

Would be useful for newbs to say how much both parts usually are so they can see the overall saving?
