no seriously tho, I hope he enjoys it, I had a MY99 Classic Sport for just less than 3 years, and loved it
I never had any problems with mine at all, 125k miles, only needed a new clutch, and two sets of tyres

Thats not a bad deal at all
Wish my car had free tyres for life
Is it the new shape then?
I dont know of any common probs with new shapes, and my classic never had any, other than the clutch as I said previously, but that was to be expected with the mileage I was doing
oh, and I ragged it everywhere pretty much, very rarely below 5k revs, so all in all a very reliable car

I think mine redlined about 6.5k rpm
I was told (and i will stand corrected) by the dealers, that when running in, dont just stay at 4k rpm
go upto the redline once in a while, and dont idle for too long, lots of varied revs etc
