I noticed Deer Leap had an STi demonstrator outside on Saturday. They had one 3 weeks or more ago, but chose to sell it the day it arrived ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
I would have thought that with the current level of interest in the car, it's a little short sighted to sell the demos. Especially when Deer Leap weren't actually expecting another until the end of Feb.
I suppose the profit is more than the demo discount, so there is some financial logic to it.

Think of it like this: why would a garage need a demonstrator if they already sell every car that comes in? They're there to sell cars, not to let people play with them.
I asked last year about Adams' STI 7 demo - they wanted full price for it, even though it already had 1500 none-too-sympathetic miles on the clock. I think they got it too, and that was the last time I ever actually saw an STI there at all.
Just try getting a test drive in an Evo - that's even more fun...

Fair comment Andy.
However, I know of a couple of dealers with customers desperate to get on the STi list, but are reluctant to do so until they've had the chance to drive one. I think it's also fair to say that one or two people have ordered as a result of driving the demos.
Which ever way you look at it, it must me quite difficult for the dealers to know what to do for the best.
