Hi,
just about to pick up my parallel import Scooby from D.Hendry, this will be my first Subaru experience having just had really bad experiences with the BMW MINI Cooper and Cooper S. The biggest issue with the MINI was one of quality - both cars being constantly in and out of the dealers for repairs.
What can i expect from the Subaru, are they well built and reliable, are there any issues I should be aware of?

I don't think you'll be dissapointed. As a general rule Jap cars are reliable anyway - all mine have been anyway.
I had a 97 Scoob for three years and the only thing that failed was the rewind button on the radio cassette.
My current 2000 model is three years old and the only thing it has needed so far is a ball joint.
Cheers,
Ian.

MY99 from new = No faults, only went to dealer for regular servicing twice a year.
Now have an MY02 from new = No faults (touches wood) and now only visits dealer once a year due to longer service intervals

Apart from Percie who'll be visiting twice a year due to it being a parallel import... Mine is most reliable even if the interior is not the most well put together car in the world... now an audi build interior with Subaru running gear, looks and reliability... perhaps GM will sort out the next interior
