I am currently looking at buying an RB5 edition and have noticed that some have fog lamp covers and some don't. Has this got something to do with the PPP option.

no. should be standard (I think). incidentally, on the RB5 they are PIAA driving lamps, not fogs.

no they come fitted as standard.

mine are in the boot as i like to give to$$er drivers the full driving light beam when they cut me up

they just push on.

The RB5 does not have foglamps. It is equipped with driving lights made by PIAA. All cars came with blue plastic light covers with the emblem RB5 on them, whether PPP or not.

Obviously to use the driving lights (which are fabulous) the covers have to be removed first. Some owners run with the covers on whilst others do not. I have clear plastic subaru fog lamp covers fitted to mine which protects them from stone damage and as these covers are clear can be left on all the time. However, they were not made for this purpose and the fit could be better.

one @ Cambridge, one @ Leeds, and a fab one @ Romford which has got the PPP. There is one advertised locally to me (No. 20) who I'm going to call tonight. What does PIAA stand for ?
