The police regually visit all sorts of internet forums. There are a few serving police officers on Scoobynet and they've set up their own BBS http://www.5ive-o.com/web/index.php
I'd be more worried about undesirables looking on here...

I`m a young driver and have never broken the law in my life

(Where did you get the money for this)
(Are you sure this is your car)
(out in daddies car our we sir)
be surprised if it was just me
seems information could be had by by reading all the talk of
slightly illegal number plates ,road angels, mods, speeding any more
lets not tar with same brush suppose.

I used to get it all the time to mate so dont worry. Quite a few of them dont have the sense to treat young people accordingly which i have experienced on numerous occassions and group us all into the criminal category. After a while it does slightly turn you against them but you just have to put it down to their ignorance mate. Besides not all are like it, just a large majority. (joke)
I just used to reply to them when they were really being rude and aggressive with:-
'Yeh well at least i own my car and not just borrowing it for the night'
which used to pi$$ them off something chronic
Im in my early 20's and in my line of work the police can be a real pain the **** with their incompetence (contaminating evidence and crime scenes etc etc)Its a shame actually that we have to rely on them to secure these scenes and physical evidence when they are not properly trained to do so but i guess we have no choice at the moment, but hey they do their best.
I for one am not too bothered they are snooping around here. I welcome it actually and value some of their input. Some of them are quite cool actually.
I think you are safe until you say something like:-
'I just raced down so-and-so road at 140mph'

Zooom,
If they don't treat you with the respect every citizen deserves get their badge number and contact their superior officer. An official complaint on their record will screw their career for good. Not that I would ever do this....

Typical response but i have nothing to hide apart from a spirited run down the xxx road now and then..hehe
Like most cops they are just doing a job but there are exceptions and although it is a pain to meet one of those exceptions you have to put it down to bad luck.
Sorry..one exception to the exceptions. Traffic wardens. Not just doing their job.getting commission and being little dictators.
Rant off.

From: R.I.P Piphead, at least you are home now :(
I dont have a problem with them
Also you only know they are police because they have (unwisely in my opinion on this bbs ) announced they are police
Like someone else said, I would be far more concerned at the ******* reading the forums for potential details of cars & locations etc

Fortunately, only about 25% of police officers are a$$holes.
I say "fortunately", because about 80% of the general public are a$$holes.
Despite their lack of resources, I would maintain that we still have the best police force in the world.
Cheers
