Thumbs up

I know other people have posted this before, but I wish to express my opinions as well.

I have just test driven the MY03 STi without PPP. It only had just over a 1000 miles on the clock but it sure did fly (especially when the sales guy drove it!). I have a MY01 PPP at the moment although it didn't feel radically faster than my car, it still shifted. I should imagine with PPP and when fully run in it would be awesome.

As said by many people before that scoop seems way too big, from the outside it looks quite big, but from the inside it looks huge! I suppose you would get used to it. The gearbox is short and precise, although I did put it in 4th once or twice instead of 6th.

I am contemplating an EVO 8 but after todays test drive I was nearly tempted to place my order there and then. My other half however wants me to get the EVO she thinks scoobs are way too common!

The flip side of being more common is :

1) More meets
2) More people at meets
3) More toys on sale
4) More wide spread knowledge of them (scoobynet for example )
5) More specialists

Swings and roundabouts really and lets face it any one who says a Standard EVO blows an STi away or vice versa hasnt driven either, owns one and not the other or is trying to start a fight . Brand loyalty, ya gotta love it LOL .

i must admit...i didnt even consider the evo
a friend has a seven...i couldnt see out of the rear
mirror cus of that fecking great spoiler
i like to be able to see out the back
the look on peoples faces when you rush past is
always a picture
i suppose what really swung it was the dealer offering me only a grand less than i bought the car for last august
and the fact that they will loan me a brand new wrx from saturday
till mine comes in to the showroom

Wink

Evo is a great car but the Scoob is cheaper in all ways and far more refined IMHO

The only down side of the STi8 is NO wash wipe
