bit of bad luck, need some advice??

been driving a scoob for two years, couple of pretty quick hot hatch's before that, managed to keep a squeaky clean licence until today..... Had the front brakes off my car and needed to go pick something up, strolled down to the folks' house to borrow a motor, no-one around so hop into the old dears 1.2 Corsa, drive off to collect stuff. On the way back forget I have no blippy, lighty technology on the dash telling me to drop a few mph's as I'm approaching a camera, drive this stretch of road everyday but always get a nice warning in plenty of time, not so in this car, complacency kicks in, spot the flashes behind, can't have been doing more than 57(ish) in a 50 zone, must be boarder line but flashed all the same, I also know these are active cameras.
All seem straight forward? Cop three points and a fine? Maybe not, remember the no-one around bit when borrowing said Corsa? Nobody actually knows I had the car see? Add to this that the old dear is a bit scatty and in a few weeks time when the letter arrives probably won't even realise she couldn't have been the driver..... Now the evil left shoulder and good right shoulder sprites are at war, do I let on, do I wait to see if a police stamped letter actually arrives, if so do I keep it quiet??? I'm 28 so even three points would no doubt add a few quid to my insurance, the folks aren't short of a bob or two and she drives a Corsa so won't really make too much difference for her but can family loyalties mean so little........... What d'ya think? It seems pretty cut and dry from the synopsis but I'm a pretty honest type, could really do without the points though, let me know what you would do.

3 points won't hurt much
...alternatively hang the bitch out to dry
You sound like a bit of a baby for 28, m8!
If I was your Mum I'd press for charges of driving an uninsured vehicle and also theft as you didn't have permission to drive her car

a) This post has seriously got to be a wind up, if so then its really very funny, if not, very sad.
b) even if the camera flashed at 57, you might still get away with it.
Got to say again, that I really hope that this post is a joke.
Which I'm sure it is?
Right??
Cheers
Richard
