How loud is the snooper? I had an Orgin Blue i and allthough very good I could never hear it above the radio. My old Snooper radar decector was very loud so I was wondering how loud the new one is.
Why does no-one interface them with the hi-fi like car kits? Seems like an obvious step forward.

Phoned up Friday morning, had one left. (sorry superdon). Delivered Saturday Morning. It's all in just need to find a camera to make sure the downloads worked.

got mine on Friday late afternoon so I registered it today.

I have the gps bit on the rear parcel shelf at the moment, but it is struggling to find the 3 satelittes. I am going to bluetak it to the dash tomorrow to see if it improves it. Went to Bournemouth today and it failed to recognise 2 of the cameras on the way in. I entered them in manually and will upload them.

Were are you guys going to mount the snooper box and the laser unit ?

 

Snooper box mounted rhs of windscreen using window mount. I am going to mount the Laser / radar detector in the front lower dam.
Aerial on rear parcel shelf, all wires tuck away nicely without drilling, unscrewing etc, appear on top of dash quite nicely.
Fitted a remote on / off switch in recess for bonnet release and took switched power supply from fuse box.

Has anyone actually fitted the laser jammer head bit yet? How easy etc was it to do? Does anyone know of a professional company who will fit and test these? I would hate to buy it and fit it incorrectly as driving in the false sense that you are proteted could prove costly! Any help or advice would be appreciated. Car is an MY01 WRX in case anyone knows any where good to fit the laser head.

well, got mine this morning. downloaded the info and I am ready to go....

only problem is, the control panel is HUGE! I really dont know where to put it. I wanted to have it nicely tucked out of the way...

has anyone positioned theres down by the cigarette lighter? In the tray? Thats the best place I can see.

Oh well, Doc Clifford has said they will have a go at fittng it for me tommorrow with my tracker.

 

mines down by the ciggy lighter for the moment. yes it is a big bit of kit.

I have just ordered a bracket from www.dashmount.co.uk, which will allow me to position it to the left of the stereo.

 

is it no good down by the cigarette lighter? its seems to fit pretty well, but i havent put the cables in and actually used it yet?

i have settled for a nice stealthy approach just below the right hand vent on the dash ...above that useless cubby hole thingy??classic scooby early type dash ...seems ok there to me easily visable and reachable by the driver but not seen at a quick glance from the outside..plus by removing the lower part of the dash and securing the bracket that should be used with the suckers on the screen means no nasty holes in the dash!!
anyone else think the screen could be better lit??and apart from it not quite being loud enough on alerts at times generally an impressive bit of kit which has given no false alarms as yet and has spotted all the traps long before me!!
did anyone else not get a receipt sent with there kit either??!

 

i didnt get a receipt either. i also though that intranetics seemed to have a "run from home" feel. answering the phones with just a "hello".

 

My S6-Neo doesn't half pick up loads of K Bands... what generates K Bands ?

On my way home tonight I was 200mtrs from home and it came up with LASER warning. Nothing but trees near us.....

 

I didn't get the reciept with mine but a phone call and they were more than happy to sort me out.

I don't think they are run from home!!

I used to get a spurious Laser on the M27 near the turning for Hamble with my old detector.

 

Jase, I think you can have your Snooper changed when the next batch comes in, they have modded the display - Contact Performance Products directly.

Well, got mine fitted today by Doc Clifford while having my tracker done.

I got the GPS antenna under the dash, in the clock housing (works perfectly). The radar detector is stuck in the windscreen above the rear view mirror, and the control panel is in the tray by the cigarette lighter and ashtray. All wires are totally hidden.

Looks very neat, just need to tweak my settings now. Got about three laser alerts today, picked up all Gatsos perfectly and got quite a few K band warnings.

Happy with things so far.
