DELFINO FEROCE acceleration test results
#1
Hi Subaristas,
Our early claims that the full production version of the Delfino Feroce using any 280bhp Turbo with 4wd in our ultra lightweight composite monocoque will deliver 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds were amply substantiated a few days ago.
Using independent Datron equipment we tested the pre-production Feroce powered by only a 208bhp engine from Subaru Impreza and got 0-60 mph in 4.36 seconds.
Needless to say we were very happy.
Nightmare's report was also quite favourable to say the least. We are making the Delfino Feroce the car that has "the best price to performance ratio" in the market.
Come and see us and become an early member of the Delfino Liberation Club....
Will keep you posted.
kind regards,
Allard Marx

Did you record any other figures while you had the Datron gear on, as 0-60 is fairly meaningless and only shows that you have a lot of grip. 0-100 / standing quarter time (with terminal speed), would give a better indication of power to weight...

Allard,
Put the car on a dyno and I think you'll find you're closer to 240bhp than 208bhp, but fantastic figures all the same.
I want one, but what would happen to the Lotus M250 I have an order ( sell on my place on the waiting list ... if they decide to build it )?

Campbell,
Both cars are fantastic to look at, but I agree the M250 wins in the looks department, but the Feroce is a head turner.
I got a letter thru this morning from Lotus saying the M250 IS going into production. Better start saving my pennies!
Mr. Rainbird asks a very interesting question: What is the 0-100 of the Feroce?
The M250 will, according to Lotus, achieve this in less than 11 secs. I reckon with the WRX engine, the Feroce may be around 10 secs.
What do you think Allard?

Why not ask Allard at Donington tomorrow ?
I understand the car was at Knockhill today, doing some work for a TV program. Should be some photos available soon.
Can't wait until the car makes it next appearance up here on the 28th April
