Cool

Why is it on the odd occasions I drive my girlfriends car, I see loads of Scoobys on the road, and am unable to wave due to the fact I'm in an Audi. Drove the Audi to Nottingham at the weekend, and must have seen at least 10 scoobs in Nottingham alone. Anyone actually waved or been waved at when not in a Scoob?

I was in my mums renault megane 1.6 16v Auto Convertible and saw at least 4 scoobs the other day, waved and flashed lights at the first one forgetting what car i was in! Safe to say he looked at me as if i was insane!!!

Yep, I'm in the habit of waving no matter what car I'm in.. even if I'm a passenger I have had some funny looks though, but then again I am insane..

Not sod's law, it's Josh's law.

It always happens.

Driven to Worcester and back today (200 miles ish) and have seen three scoobs, all of which ognored me. Got in the Wife's car for 2 miles in Worcester, and saw 5.

Typically of course I always wave before realising what I'm driving.

It's all so perfectly clear. We aren't always in our own cars, but feel that we should still welcome like-minded, fellow enthusiasts with a little wave.

We need a secret wave. A stylish, quick, unique wave, to identify us as scooby fans, regardless of our current transportation. There could be different waves for different occasions:

"Hello, fellow owner"
"Watch out - revenue camera ahead"
"Nice spoiler"
"The cuckoo flies at dawn"

Or maybe not. No. Sorry, it's Monday afternoon - time for my medication... Nurse!?

Might be a good idea to start a "Scooby Owners Wave" thread.

I've suggested a custom scoobynet wave myself in a previous post before, but it didn't get anywhere.

btw, as has been said before, perhaps when you're in a scooby you're too busy enjoying the driving to be looking out for other Scooby's?

Glad I'm not the only one caught in another car. Waved from my girlfriends Civic and got a wave back. Mind you I also sat for 30 secs waiting for the engine to cool abit. That day was not my best LOL!!

So if you get waved by someone not in a scoob, lets just accept it that the person waving owns a scoob rather than looking at them like a weirdo

I had a similar experience last night. Was walking home from the train station when a guy pulled up to the roundabout I was crossing in a Silver 5 Door. Nice clean looking scoob so I pointed at his car and mouthed the words "Nice scoob mate".

He sorta just half acknowledged me with a slight raise of the hand and a look that said "kn0bber"

Now I may be a knobber ...but there's no need to remind me of the fact!!!!

Steve....if you see a 6ft3 bloke looking comfortable in a MY02 WRX WR Blue Scoob or hunched in a red MX-5 (it's the girlfriends)...gis a wave.

btw....do you drive the UK300 I keep seeing (dark haired bloke - car looks like it's had something done underneath the bonnet from the front)

T4Molie,
Where abouts are you from? I've not modded my UK300 (yet) apart from a private plate. I normally drive between Luton and Milton Keynes. Hardly anyone who has a Scoob in Milton Keynes waves, or places a post in the "Was it You" thread.

I normally just smile and nod but that's because the first time I ever waved at another Impreza it was being driven my a mature couple who looked at me very strange. I think they meant to buy the Outback for their country estate.

Also if someone is with you and you wave, and you don't get a response, you feel like a huge t*t.
