run in

Why strange thread just want to no what type of performance the sti8 ppp has, as every garage i go to for a test drive will not give me a proper drive due to running in car. Tell me does it really go from 0-60 in 4.5 secs , i mean this i ferrari spec.....

Not strange at all. The Subaru site quotes 4.62 seconds to 60mph and 0-100 in 12.20 seconds. Quick in anybody's book. Get my PPP at the end of March and haven't been anticipating anything with such excitement since my kids were born !

I only said strange thread beacause of 'who will be first to run in their sti8 ? Some of the cars have been on the road over 2 months now ?, so obviously some are run in ?
If your talking about performance then thats different again, but not what the thread was originally asking
Strange thread
Lets have some opinions on what the sti8 PPP is like at full pelt or something, and any other mods that have improved handling, type of aftermarket wheels to fit and where to get the best deals
Hmmm Maybe I should start a thread ! LOL

If you read the question right steve777, then you would realise that i was talking about performance as i have not seen many threads on here talking about sti8 ppp, most still say they are running in thers sti8 ppp hence the tile "run in".
#16
Without taking sides the question was who was going to be first to run it in and not about perfromance so the answer was that plenty of people already have run them in . I guess thats what Steve meant as I thought it a little strange as well. Well at least you got a few replies .

0-956 miles... 4000 rev limit... nice pull, oh dear need to change gear now
956-1106 miles... somewhat highter rev limit car = fast
1106-1547 miles... now with ppp.... car = fuggin fast

My STi8 PPP is now run in,
First impressions on the performance against my MY00 PPP are that STi8 has bag and bags more torque and pulls very very smoothly, the speed you are carrying is very deceptive until you look at the speedo,
I am still coming to terms with a 6 speed box, but i would think that if the box is used correctly then the pace of this car across country will be very hard to beat,
It is without a doubt the quickest/most effective car that i have driven

every one says that the 8 is awesome across country - but are the pads made out of compressed camel poo or what?
I'm still running mine in, but that doesn't prevent me carrying some speed into a corner..
The brakes seem to get very hot very easily - and the smell!

LOL okay but look at this
Who is goin to be the first to run in there sti8 ppp, must be someone who has done enough miles to see what performance this awesome car has. some comments please.......
Try this question :
Who is goin to be the first down the pub tonight, must be someone who has aleady gone there before seen what their excellent beer tastes like. some comments please ..........
Now is the question about who is down the pub first tonight or the beer quality or both ?
Cant add much to thread as I dont have an STi8 but it keeps it at the top .

Okay no more thread hijacking , I was just trying to explain that the question was slightly ambigious and I could understand Steves confusion. Maybe the question could have been.
Who is goin to be the first to run in there sti8 ppp, if some has done enough miles to see what performance this awesome car has, can they give some comments please.......
Anyway people are bound to know the question now so is anyone going to comment on STI8 PPP performance then, as well as the other sane (ish) STi8 owners who have already.
