As the above. I am not sure on which one to buy.
For build quality and toys I am thinking the S3, but for more power the P1.

What are your thoughts?

A bias opinion would say the P1 which out of the box you still get more fun pound for pound over the s3

Best thing to do would be to test drive them both and see which car suites YOU best.

i dont know if it interests u at all but ive heard that audi have managed 2 kill all engine noise!!!!!

so if u like power engine noise subaru is more for u
but as they said, best to do is just test driev a load of cars and see which ones u like

Chuck used to have a S3, which he ran alongside his 22B, so I think that might make a fair comparison to a P1.

It is really down to personal choice.

i had a p1.. and drove my bro's s3 quite a bit aswell..
i liked the p1..as the power..image.. was all there.. even had a tek3 ecu reamp aswell..was pulling around 320bhp..
my bro has his s3 chipped aswell.. think its pulling around 250bhp..

s3 pro's ..

S3 build quality alot better.. heated electric recaros..lovely.. climate control..etc all std.. stealth mode..when parked..other than front and back s3 badges..chrome wings.. looks like a normal a3.. bose sound system is well nice..

s3 cons..
not enuff power..or punch.. std brakes are crap.. but can do some mods..

p1 pros

handling, power, noise..real drivers car.. couple of good mods, can make this really fly..(well almost) full de-cat and dumpvalve..can really open it up.. bucket seats are nice and comfy..do hold u in, when cornering alittle..

p1 cons

interior is a let down.. std brakes again..pants.. sticks out like a sore thumb

in the end.. the prices have come down on both cars.. but i would still choose the p1 over the s3.. purely on power..and the handling.. damn i miss my scooby..

yes..sold the car.... have a m5 now.. even more solid than the audi more mature..and loadsa gadgets to keep me happy for a while.. 4drs is a real novelty

Used to have an MTM S3, 270bhp 300lbs/ft, as quick as a standard P1, P1 better to drive, S3 better to own and can get 330bhp from them, but do feel a bit anodyne compared to P1. Have a 330ci schnitzer now which is way,way better than an S3. Buying bigger house soon and might have to trade down slightly, P1 is where my money will probably go.
