As Ian has said it does fail if yoru click the same banner ad twice i.e. click a banner, close the newly opened window and click the banner ad again. I guess the unique id to so show how many click throughs the site has had ?.

The banner software was re-written for speed (due to the levels of traffic we receive) and to reduce abuse.
Banner software that lets you click the same one over and over can mean that people click it constantly clocking up hits that an advertiser would have to pay for, which would be unfair.
This way, we will only charge for the one click.
Also.. the banners have a kind of time-out. After 10,000 (I think) pages have been loaded, the first id is deleted (so clicking it would lead to a broken link). At times when the site is very busy, 10,000 pages comes round within minutes so banner will become useless. As the majority of banners are clicked within the first few seconds or not at all, this is not usually a problem.
If this were to happen regularly however, we would up it to 20,000.
All the best

Don't you think it's a little daft that it fails it you click on it twice? I'm not even going to comment about the size of the adverts, 468x60, 12K tops ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I can see how it would fail now...
