New WRX.
What a hard decision though. Have test driven WRX and STI (both twice) and as much as I loved the STI I felt that the WRX will be a much easier car to live with on a day by day basis. I felt the STI was quick, cornered like on rails, looks great, loved the seats, better steering, great brakes, but,
the ride was far too hard for every day use as the main family car, I was not over keen on the six speed box (felt very notchy), no real power under 3k, did not feel that it would be easy to live with in traffic.
The WRX, however, I felt had a much smoother power delivery (PPP should make this even better), had a much more compliant ride, good enough brakes for 95% of the driving I do, seats will be more comfortable on longer journeys, car felt more happier going slow than the STI.
As I said it was a hard decision, heart saying STI and head saying WRX, but in the end felt that as this will be my car for the next 3 years the WRX will do more of what I want 85% of the time.
Even so, I have still got time to change my mind................ oh no here I go again!

I deliberately didnt test drive an Sti to avoid the same problem
Im very pleased with my WRX though and from what other people have said think it sounds like I made the right choice for my requirements.
