Don't know what it is about my 94 WRX. Whenever you drive over small chippings, road salt, anything but clean Tarmac, it sounds like i'm doing 90 on a forest track. I get out sometimes and expect there to be no paint on the doors. Is this just down to thin wheel arch linings, or did Subaru do this intentionaly to remind us of the Imprezas rallying heritage?

i'v got a my02 and it does the same thing, unless i drive right in the middle of the road then the tiny stones at the side of the road get chucked up and sound like ppl throwing stones at me.
i'v got out a couple of times but never found any damage.

Cheers Darren

I'm pretty sure it's due to the lack of sound deadening they fit, still, at least it makes the cars a bit quicker!!!
