To be honest [not wanting to upset the 300 owners ]

There is very little difference between the UK300 and the standard MY01 it was ALL cosmetic

Funny spoiler
WRC STyle Lights
Nice seats
many of the UK300 had the PPP fitted but this is/was available to MY01 owners

I owned a UK300 and dearly miss it, with Impreza's becoming so popular these days a UK300 really stands out from the crowd.

You really need one with the PPP on it thou!

Simple answer is: Get One!

Yes I used to have one of these too. I did really regret selling it for a STi 7, they are much better than a standard My01 because all the bits you would want to change have already been done ( lights wheels etc ) I agree with above make sure you get a PPP'd one.

Cheers Jas

Cool

I agree with Sideways, most o1 owners add bigger wheels, spoilers, twin lights etc. All Standard on Uk300 plus different interior, sti seats. Second hand residuals should be higher. Did think of selling mine for sti 7 but kept the 300. With PPP & springs & big brakes it still makes a fairly fast car.
Go for it

I still love my UK300, was really gutted when they brought out the STI7 a few months later for the same price. But now having seen the STI in the flesh and driven and STI8 I have to say I still love my UK300. The prodrive lights are better then the STI's and to be honest I didn't think the STI8 felt any quicker then my UK300 and believe me I booted it, handled better though. The amount of attention my car draws is still amazing. The only Subaru's I'll sell mine for will either be a 22B or an S202.

Cool

I owned number 21/300 and had PPP fitted + air Filter, Dump Valve, resonator centre section.

I also added some styling bits

Sti Mesh Covers, Sports Grille & side pods, which made the car look much better at the front

PS The Front Sports Grille is for sale if your interested. Mail me

For some reason the new owner didn't want it

Reason for change - Sti8

Why do people say this:

- All Limited Edition UK 4-door Imprezas have been the same from Series McRae to UK300, unless you paid even more and got the Prodrive treatment.

Cosmetic tweaks only, yeah but working out at a cheaper price than if you bought a standard impreza and added all said "cosmetic" bit n bobs, even then still not part of a limited run.

They are all still Limited Editions in thier own right and I am extremely happy with my cosmetically altered bugeye (UK300).

The PPP was also only initially sold for UK300 cars before it was released for all bugeyes.

Bogie, people say it because previously UK special editions came in colours not available elsewhere as UK cars..IE McCrae Blue, Catalunya Black, RB5 Steel Blue and the Sonic Blue Terzo/22B/P1. The 'problem' for the UK300 is it was a standard colour and all the parts could be bought off the shelf to clone it.

I have No. 75/300 and it is the mutts nutts. This is my second Scoob and the handling 'straight from the box' is not as good. Took it to TSL Motorsport who waved their magic wand at the geometry and it is fantastic. From what I read this is the same for MY01's anyway. Bright blue paint, huge gold wheels, blue suede interior, PPP pack, what more could you want? Oh yeah, the chicks love the car. Always turning heads. As for spec just look at any MY01. Did think about changing up to a STI8 but no need.

Kingy71,

Here ya go, can't remember how to do clickty:

http://www.fantasycars.com/sedans/html/wrxnewuk.html

http://www.iwoc.co.uk/my2001uk300.html

2nd one is the best, you can get loads of other stuff if you type UK300 in Google.

Go for it, you know you want to.

I don't have PPP, only WR Sport BB and ScoobySport centre decat with ITG panel filter, soon to go for 265bhp ECUTech though, mmmmmmmm.

Wink

Kingy,

The ONLY reason why Phil doesn't like the UK300, is because it never came in WHITE
