As i say dunno specifically wot yer looking at with PE, & if yer going full monty it wont b cheap either way , but generally PPP is all well & good but 4 wot u get aint exactly cheap & many people prefer 2 choose they own tweaks etc if they dont have 2 worry about the warranty issues

Assume when you say PE you mean ECUTEK.
As said, if you are worried about warranty then PPP would be best choice, and from what I know it includes ECU, exhaust, and um, not sure what else.
However, from what I have read in Banzai mag, if you were to get just the ECUTEK ECU thing done then the dealer would not know any difference when they get the car, so in this situation warranty would not be effected. Of course if you were to go for the pack which included the exhaust, injectors and new top mount then that would no doubt invalidate warranty.
Which would I go for? well, depends on what else I was going to do to the car, if I planned to not mod it any further then I'd go for ECUTEK, if I was planning more mods, well, neither! why? well, I'd go for a mappable ECU (Link, Motec, Pectel, Gems, etc...). OK, I know ECUTEK is mappable, but not sure if it's in same league as Motec etc.. (not dissing ECUTEK at all, think it's amazing what it does!)

my RB5 came with the PPP. Compared to my previous MY99, it is definitely quicker, more torque - all in all a good improvement. But, I personally wouldnt spend the £2000 or whatever it is on having PPP fitted now. For your money you get exhaust, ECU, air filter and Samco hoses. This gets you about an extra 30 bhp and similar torque increase. I am sure you could get more power for less money.
So it really depends how highly you value your warranty (bearing in mind that there isnt much longer to run on it).

It is worth remembering that PPP for MY99 can be had for £1500-£1600 now although a lot of dealers don't seem to know it. You are also getting the intercooler hosing and decat centre section. The PE Tek 2 remap with back box and airfilter is the most comparable thing they do and is £1100. Considering the PPP is giving you some extra bits and possibility of extending your warranty and added resale value - I'd say it is certaionly not a rip off. It is undeniable at the end of the day though that you are getting about the same power/torque increase for £450 less at PE. Another thing to consider may be the sound of the backboxes - PPP is nice sounding but not annoyingly loud on motorway etc which some people like - not sure what PE sounds like!
