Just pull away smoothly but progressive, you dont have to prove your in a fast car, everyone knows it.
I know it aint so much fun, and you have to laugh at yourself if u **** it up.But its better for your engine life.

Everything is a tradeoff - normal pull off's are more gentle on the clutch and drivetrain. Flooring it and slipping the clutch or dropping it at 4000 or 5000 rpm will have you doing a fast pull off but that puts the clutch, drivetrain, engine, etc. under a lot more stress.

I feed the clutch in progressively and try to avoid burning it out.......seems to do the job.
If I was doing a full bore standing start then I guess I'd dump the clutch- I've never had to do this cos most of the idiots who try to race arent worth the bother (and I dont have to do full bore starts to "beat" them anyway).

on the standard clutch u certainly cant dump the clutch while red lining it or even close so that's a no go & even with my freshly fitted AP organicx jobbie which is bleedin great, no slipping clutch with that boyo, i still woodnt wana redline & side step clutch thru fear of killing the gearbox or sumin.
So the theoretical best way 2 get a decent launch is to give a healthy amount of revs & ease off the clutch to get you moving & then feed in much more power once yer going
Thats' my understanding anyhow & while i have no intention 2 muller my car it i nieve to think we have nice fast cars so we will onyl drive sub 2500RPM or sumin silly to maintain the engine just kuz every1 already knows it's fast. KNowing it & feeling it r 2 very different prospects (oh er misses thats a strange un)
