EVO Running Costs?
#1
I'm sick to death of the "image" the Impreza now has, I'm looking for a new car at the moment, I would love an evo, probably an Early 5 (in yellow hopefully ) in my Budget.
I have been looking at Late Classic Model Imprezas recently to replace my 1998 Impreza Sport, but looking on Autotrader, and checking insurance, i could get an Evo
The question is: How much more are the parts than Impreza Bits??
Namely... replacement clutches, brakes etc...
Can i really afford one if i can afford to run a Scoob ?
Next stop.. the MLR

Wise choise in car and colour dude.
My Evo doesnt use that much more fuel than my previous 95WRX, though you will notice it more because of the smaller fuel tank. Servicing wise you will have to look after the AYC diff which menas servicing this every 4700 mies or there about. This isnt as expensive as is often made out on here, RC will do it for about £90. Apart from that the servicing schedule is much like any car. My last full service cost me under £200.
I put on average £60 a week in mine and thats to and from work and pottering about afterwards. Be warned though you start to open it up and she can drink for England. I managed to get my MPG down to about 10MPG on Donny. eek:
Worth every penny though.
