This is an update on the thread that ended up locked last night.
Turns out that I know the guy whose spoiler was nicked, and he knows me!!!
It was his son, who's a postie, who noticed my car with new spoiler, and neither of them know the number, so it rang no bells when they contacted the police.
His spoiler was an STi5 anyway, my new one is a "6" replica.
I was interested to see the security he'd put in place to stop the replacement one going: a sort of drop down lid that almost rests on his boot, completely covers the spoiler, and is padlocked in place.

Bloody hell......used to have a Girlfriend who lived in that road!!It was only a quick Holiday fling. Nice lady.
