What series turbo does a standard UK turbo run ? - answer a mistibushi TD series ie. TD04 or TD05 depending on year
Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure that the UK turbo has an IHI turbo, whereas the Australian WRX (same as our Turbo 2000) has the Mitsubishi turbo.

This is about the classic, dunno about the bugeye models.

Here's a good one for him:

What is the best model impreza?
The correct answer is clearly the classic models.

Which Impreza is more than likely to blow up?
Tee hee hee, we all know the answer to that.

What is the best colour for a scooby?
White

Worse?
Green

Common?
Silver/Blue

Upto MY97 they ran the larger TD05 turbo but after they changed to the smaller TD04 to give a faster spool up. So less lag but ultimately wont flow as much air. The tuners would take a TD05.

The IHI were fitted to the import cars and mainly to the STi models although some of the later WRX also had IHI turbos.

Read "YOU&YOUR SUBARU IMPREZA TURBO" by Chris Rees. A wealth of model and spec info. Do you have a scoob yourself?

>5. What model year was the mark 2 (aka bug-eye version) released ? - answer 2001
Actually, it appeared at the November 2000 Motorshow and appeared at dealers not long after, hence some early cars have an X plate.

As it appears that nobody has the correct information due to the huge amount of specs I'm sure he'll be right one way or another because somebody will come up with a car contrary to opinions.

scooby-do - gr8 question about bright switch...

About the tubo's, mines a UK MY00 and it's got a TD04 in it. The P1 of the same year had the IHI VF24from the STi5 & 6 and maybe earlier ones, not sure!

Why did they take out the little bit in the middle to keep your **** in when they changed to the bug-eye. That's bloody handy, that is!

Guys I don't want to put a dampener on this but I'm pretty sure no Impreza ever made had a 'misti-bushi' engine as written in the 10 questions post above !!!

(would have been funny if they had though)

Heres 10 for him. I woudl expect an impreza expert to get at least 8 .

1. Where does the number 22B come from ? - answer 22B hexidecimal is 555 decimal (555 were the rally sponsors)

2. What size engine does a 22B have ? - answer 2.2 litre

3. Construction wise how is a 22B different from other imprezas ? - answer it was seem welded rather than spot welded and different body panels and some parts were handbuilt.

4. What series turbo does a standard UK turbo run ? - answer a mistibushi TD series ie. TD04 or TD05 depending on year

5. What model year was the mark 2 (aka bug-eye version) released ? - answer 2001

6. What does the RA stand for in type RA ? - answer Race Altered

7. What was the first limited edition UK turbo ? - answer series Mcrae

8. What colour was the catalunya model ? - answer black with red flecks

9. Why was the RB5 model so named ? - answer RB = Richard Burns and the 5 was the number on his WRC car at the time.

10. Do impreza come with a TMIC or a FMIC ? - answer TMIC (top mount intercooler) not a front mount intercooler.

Obviously 3/10 would be a better figure for a scoobynet expert

1. IT SAYS STANDARD UK TURBO NOT STI OR P1, STANDARD UK TURBO .
2. IT HAS A MISTI TURBO NOT A MISTI ENGINE .

Sorry for shouting but people cant read LOL .

Wish I hadnt bothered now , so many experts so little time . Mind due quiet funny really, hope he gets a few right.

A question I've wanted to know the answer to...
Ask him, Who's the top notch technician / designer / engineer that decided it was necessary to fit the famed and without doubt the single most needed piece of equipment in the cabin…. the “bright” switch ??
