Whats the fastest your sti8 will go.

I was on test venue recently! and my 8 seemed to run out of steam after about 110, although it got up to about 130. I thought they were meant to do about 150.

The way it was going, It'd have to be downhill all the way from John O'Groats to get to max about Truro!

Rev limiter in 5th about 142mph( Bedford autodrome).

Runs out a steam at 110 MPH, that don't sound right. My MY99 pulls like an express train to 150 MPH at which point I thought this is fast enough. I have got the speed limiter removed (UK car) so would do a little more

How old is your STi8? I've read loads of times that the Scoob engine loosens up over time, and mine certainly did. full decat etc, my Uk'98 puuls all the way to an alleged top of 150+, when I allegedly bottled it and took my foot off.

Tony, 142 at Bedford???? On the back straight??? Most I've seen in any fast car there is about 135mph before braking.

Do you have afterburners or a parachute for stopping?

ive been in an sti8 and it certainly wasnt running out of steam at 110...

It did have a special package on it as well..

Mine is PPP'd but your about right will 135 with John Bulldock and his Dad must have been some other Long 'Track' straight somwhere

I hit 110mph in 6th with about 3k rpm left to run and that was taking it nice and easy through the gears. Definately something wrong there.

I recommend that you run it on Optimax and not 2-stroke!

Oh! Thanks. It seems a lot better now. somebody told me it would run just fine on tomato sauce - now i've put Optimax in, I can get 150 no problem(Theoretically ossifer)
