Can someone please tell me what STi do to a standard off the production line MY00 to make it into an STi6?
Only interested in the engine / ECU part of the equation and not the suspension or brakes etc.
Why will an STi 6 ECU not fit into an MY00? what else is wired into it to make it different?
Also if you fit a VF23 turbo to an MY00 do you need to upgrade the intercooler etc?
Cheers

I don't think they "do" anything to an MY00 to make it an Sti6 - they are different cars from the outset and one of the differences is the wiring looms hence it is hard to transplant Ecu's.

Yeah, I don't think its like adding PPP in the sense that you 'do it' to a base model. STi's are built to a completely different specification (presumably specified by Subaru Technica International). May well be that the SIDC pages will have details on the differences (and they certainly do as to the differences between successive STI models). www.sidc.co.uk and hunt around.
