Bakewell = Scooby Central
#1
Was something scooby-related going on in Bakewell on Sunday? I was there for about 2 hrs and saw about 11 sports and 2 turbos!
Only ever seen more than that at a rally, or a meet...
Good roads for them, though, and indeed nice puddings...

Maybe the winter snow is why there are so many around here? I live near bakewell, & got my 1st Scooby for a potentially snowy commute to Manchester - it was only a 1.6 GL but lasted 110 k miles on original clutch, disks - everything except a heat sensor on the engine which packed up at 85k. Then I crashed it. Next came a GX (I wasn't sure if I would get points for the crash) and in june (at last) an STi is due. It actually rarely snows that much, but AWD is still occasionally useful getting into sheffield now without staying with all the 2wd's on the (gritted) bus routes.
That's my excuse anyway!
And we do have great roads (but keep it quiet)

Bakewell and roads around it are totally pants there is no reason why you would want to venture up there. I am very unlucky to live locally with such rubbish driving roads about. Around 3/4 of the 15,000 miles I have put on my Sti so far have not been on the roads around that area. Potential visitors take my advice and stay away.
