2 door scooby seat belts?
#1
Just wondered what/why the 2 door scoobies have seatbelts that like stick out by 6"s or so from the door frame? I noticed it on both the P1's & type R's i've had the pleasure of sitting in but noticed when trying 2 squeeze in the back of the P1 (woodn't let me drive lol) it certanily wasn't put there 2 make it easier access . No i'm not a lard **** although i may of got wrong end of stick as to how to squeeze by em Didn't seem any better when using the front seat belts in the type R thou (yes i was allowed 2 drive that un) but then wood i need 2 crash it 2c if this was a safety feature? (owner definately woodnt let me do that!!!!)
So er wot the hell r they liek that 4?

hello m8, hows the wheels, still shiney i hope
re the belts, the plastic arm is there to stop you having to be a contorsionist ( lol @ theSP???, never a strong point) when reaching for the belt (M3's don't have them ) They do fold down when not required to aid access to the back of the car.
cheers simon

So how kum 2 doors have these then is it just a nice toy as surely the seat belts r still in same position relative 2 driver as 4 door.
Damn 2 door owners with their easy lives lol can test yer P1 if u like thou

The two door cars have MUCH bigger doors and the B pillar is further behind the seat. The plastic arm allows the belt to hang in exactly the same position as that of a 4 door car. It swivels easily out of the way for passengers to get access (its either push or pull it - can't remember, then swivel).
