Like i said just bought a braned new civic Type R in black on the first of march and starting to wish i should not have! got the windows tinted and went down the induction kit road which sounds very nice when the second VTEC kicks in. went to the local Subaru dealer asking about bug eye shape imprezas and trading my car in against one. the dude was very helpful but gave me a low offer on the car- £14700 which is a **** load of money to loose in a month. i understand though, that they need to make profit out it but god that hurts! anyone got any advice? Please help! Cheers

If you were buying an ex demo Type R from a main dealer i think you would be expecting to get it for the same sort of money as they are offering you. Might be you are getting a reasonable deal. You can get them for just over £15K new cant you?

 

I would say that is an excellent trade in price.

A little negotiation should see things swing more in your favour. That seems like a pretty good starting point though, £14,700. Spend a little time with the salesman, and see if he budges on the price (either on your CTR or off the Bugeye). Then walk away and have a think. He might call you back with a better offer.
