UK300 - what is it?
#2
The UK300 is a special edition based on the WRX, from memory the main changes over the WRX were large boot spoiler different headlights, wheels, exhaust back box and it only came in blue .
Im sure there were other bits changed but on the whole it was just a cosmetic dress up of WRX.
The STi 7 is a different car from the engine suspension transmition ect and it gives alot more power as standard.

Right, a UK300 is a limited edition version of a UK spec WRX. Unfortunately the 300 stands for the number they produced and not the bhp . They differ from the normal WRX in that the are only available in the same blue as an STi, come with the prodrive headlights, 18" wheels and STi "look" seats and a unique rear spoiler (well it was until it got copied and used on other models ).
It only has the standard 215bhp, but could be bought with the optional PPP kit which takes the power up to 241bhp, but with more torque than the STi has as standard. The ride is much better than the STi for everyday use, but not as good for track. The brakes are diabolical (standard Scoob 4-pots as opposed to Brembos). 5 speed box as per WRX.
Change the spoiler for the big Prodrive STi one and it looks the dogs danglies and only the people in the know would be able to spot the standard brakes and non-central rev counter etc. Nicer ride and better qaulity handling on most UK roads than STi (no loss of fillings).
Anything else?
