22B or WRX type R
#1
Ok I now have a job after a long lay off, so I can now try to heal the pain of the forced sale of my pride and joy.
I would like a 22B, but none of them came with ABS would it be cheaper to fit ABS to a 22B or to fit a wide arch 22B kit to a WRX type R? Which just happens to come with ABS and in rally blue. Also the WRX R's, are a dam sight cheaper to buy which would leave some change for a power increase as well as paying for a lard **** kit.
Your thoughts please

from experience TypeR's don't have ABS they have waterspray instead, its beause of the adjustable diff you see....
Edited to say you will have bother retro fitting ABS to the 22B cos they have the same adjustable diff, and that is one reason why they are soooooo cool

Be careful on the ABS stuff. 22B didnt have ABS and AFAIK the WRX Type R did have ABS but the WRX STI Type R also had no ABS, worth checking because you can bet there are exceptions.
I have ABS on my 2000 WRX RA but in 2.5 years have only had it cut in once on a very wet road and serious braking/ emergency stop required.
The 22B will cost your more to buy and the bits are more expensive, especially body parts and you are cheaper buying a new set of alloys if you damage one.
I looked a 22B and would love one but it finding the right one at the right price, that hasnt been heavily messed with or neglected.
I know it not the same but for decent 22B money you can pick you a UK STI PPP which relunctantly where my money would go.
I'll fetch me coat now I have upset 90% of the BB .
