For 3k less get a 02 STI UK with PPP, might have a few quid left over, unless you REALLY don't like the look of the Bug-ish STI

i would hang on and wait until someone gets bored with an 8!

I was going to buy a 7 in sept!

Waited and i am soooo glad i did!

If you dont mind the look of the 7 as has been said there are some seriously cheap ones!

Dealer offered me an 02 ppp sti7 with 7k on the clock for £22K last month!

Thought it was two years before they can make any changes, reckon they may bring out an uprated version of the 8 for a few extra quid, so we will have two chioces again....25k or 27.5k. Will have to wait and see.......got a deal on a sti7, mine + 8.9k (my00 saloon, 23k miles)- the STi7 is 13k miles and an ex subaru uk directors car.

What does that sound like - fair, good deal, about right, or rip-off?

Just to be correct

STI5 was MY99
STI6 was MY00

If you want to carry on using the incorrect names

STI7 was MY01
STI8 was MY02
STi9 was MY03
STi10 will be MY04

Japan got an MY01 STI (7) its us that didnt

Ed,
I would have thought there should be more like a £4K difference between a STD MY03STiUK and a PPP MYSTi7UK a lot of STi7 bargins to had around at the moment
I personally would wait till November-January and see what new UK/EU MY04 model comes out ( but probs getting too near end of 3 year Warrenty)

This year saw Japan with the new MY03STi8JDM, the US got the new MY03STi8US(2.5L). The UK/EU didn't get an STi8JDM converted to UK/EU THEY GOT A Facelift STi7 = MY03STiUK. So there is a possability we might get a new model .......the MY04STi9UK(3.0L) IMHO

Tony

Ps cant go wrong with either Sti7 or STi7.5 both good value for money at the mo unless you selling
