Question

want to replace the current jap radio in my WRX with a standard sized head unit. Where do i get the mounts etc to fit it as the jap unit is one of those tape & cd things thats massive, what options are there for using the extra space???

There is a pocket from Subaru for a forester, or you could put some small gauges in there. I've got a clock in mine, looking to get some gauges soon

I think some of the WRX's had them as an option from Japan , so it might be worth calling a few Subaru breakers. If not I think you can just about squeeze some 52 mm gauges in there (You might need to cut the cup holder about a bit though), which is a standard size, although there are smaller ones about.
I don't know about price depends on what you want gauge wise and make wise .
Fitting difficulty obviously depends on what you want to fit.
Also don't really know what to put down there as a bit difficult to see when driving, thinking about a voltmeter and something else, I don't think I want a boost or oil gauge down there

hi ya, i have put in a little tray thing, got it from subaru, cost £15 and got another bit of space, nice, any what i want to know now is there a constant power feed to the radio unit, i have had the radio fitted but it resets when i turn the car off. This is both annoying and poo! Obviously the radio needs to have the auxilary power wired in!
