What is the best way to increase my throttle response without spending a months salary?

96 Turbo wagon with st/steel bockbox and centre sections.

If its a 96 it will be fitted with a bigger turbo than the later cars. They do suffer from a sluggish response from the pedal.

Everything you do wants to be aimed at spooling the turbo up quicker so a downpipe would be a good start.
You will never get the instant responses from the throttle that you would with a good N/A engine though.
