Looks like it's up for resale not breaking but I could be wrong.

Mind you the RB5 is totally slaughtered

Frontal impact does the airbags, side and rear don't, so if you lose the rear end on a corner, and go through a hedge, and then roll a few times, it's possible that the airbags won't deploy, seems daft doesn't it, it's all done for a reason though

with all the parts and some one doing the work your looking at another £6k on top of the salvage price, might as well buy straight

Exactly what can you get from that? It's a total mess!
Wonder what number it is/was!

Yeah, they're wanting £7K and it's FUBAR'd

Looks like a WR Sport to me - can't really tell but I think it has the WR Sport rev counter and I can see part of the Prodrive spoiler upright is still attached.

Suppose you could salvage the Prodrive ECU, Intercooler piping, PIAA spots, alloy wheels and the interior if the door cards haven't taken a beating.

The rest of it is just std MY99 parts.

What sort of **** would give 7k for that, it's fecked

Just a note on the airbags to add to the above, there are sensors which determine the type of crash the car is in. Firstly it must be head on or within (usually) 45° of head on. The second is, the impact must be equal to or greater than hiiting at 12mph. You have to meet both of these to set the bags off.

I wonder how much a new shell costs? 7k's a bit pricey for an engine and gearbox - I doubt that much else will be too much use...

I was offered £12k for my WRSport a few days ago and it's immaculate. Obviously I laughed, but it does make £7k for the wreck seem a bit ridiculous...

Just keep an eye out for 023 then! Hopefully anyone that might be interested in buying it in "mint" condition will look at the owners club website and see the pictures of the wreck!
