Impreza 03 WRX seat problem
#1
The drivers seat on my new 03 WRX was giving me a lot of discomfort and an aching back. My dealer kindly swapped the seat on a demonstrator and despite a slight improvement is still causing discomfort on longish journeys. This is my third scooby and I have had no problems before.Anyone with the new 03 WRX having similar problems?

We had a discussion on a similar subject a while ago:

I've now found that lowering the steering wheel made a surprisingly big difference (for me anyhow), I feel a lot more in control of the car, but still slide around a bit too much for my liking.

Yeah had similar feelings when I first got the car but I found that when driving quickly if I consciously push my left foot against the foot brace to the side of the clutch pedal it pushes my lower back into the seat nicely, which keeps me sat squarely in the seat, corrects my posture and stops the back ache.
I was really surprised the seats have no lumbar adjustment. A bit crap on a 20k car. Wish the they were more supportive laterally too.

Which seats have you guys got? See this thread with some pics. There's a bit of confusion as to what the standard ones should be.
I just completed a round trip back to the UK from Luxembourg, around 600 miles, and found my seats to be on of the most comfortable I've driven across in. I've also made the same journey in a Vauxhal Cavalier SRI, Vauxhall Omega Elite and an Opel Monza (that has damned fine standard fit Recaro's).
