DULL, SORRY, BUT -
Anyone else had this - you hit the alarm and the car locks and then immediately unlocks
. Solution (since I have aquired screwdriver mangled door key locks) after disarming alarm I then have to open the rear door, manually lock the driver door, hit the alarm on once again, and then hit the OE ignition key plip to lock all the doors (the alarm thinks they ARE already locked since the driver's door is locked).
This happens 50% of the time and is a pain - I now THINK it is a sticky driver door mechanism which the central locking solenoid cant drag shut.
Anyone had this before I go taking door panels off with WD40 in hand?
Cheers

My mate had a very similar problem with a Ford.....not a scoob I know, but he ended up having to replace the central locking mechanism inside the drivers door. Apparently it was a problem with some connections being worn, they cleaned them up and it worked for a couple of weeks but then started again and he had to replace the whole unit.
Don't know if this helps at all!

Same here on my last car Rover 220 coupe. Faulty mechanism and I had to replace the whole unit. Cost £280 about three years ago.
Not what you wanted to hear eh? Never know though might be something simple!!

Seen this twice before,
New actuator was required the first time, the second time it turned out to be a loose/poorly adjusted connection between the actuator push rod and the door linkage. Neither of these were on the Scooby, but might be worth checking the linkage anyway.

Seen the opposite of this on my Dads Scooby. As soon as u unlock the car with the remote it locks itself again.
The cause of it was a sticking solenoid. Fixed it by giving slamming the offending door shut. Not the perfect solution as im sure the problems gona appear again, but a good enough fix for the time being.
