How much has your scooby cost you this month ??

Thanks to a panel pin embedding itself too close to the side wall on one of my spankers F1 GSD3's, tomorrow will see another £100 leaving my wallet in support of scooby ownership. This needs to be done tomorrow as tuesday will see the scoob receive a new AP racing clutch being fitted at £900.

So for the month of april

1 x Prodrive Spoiler = £250 (inc part ex STi 4 spoiler)
Paint spoiler and colour code skirts = £200
1 x STi Strut Brace = £150
1 x Pink stars grill badge = £27
2 x Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 215/40/17 = £200 (tomorrow)
1 x new AP racing clutch, Sti bearing, skimmed&lightened flywheel + fitting = £900 (Tuesday)

Total (less IM finance & optimax so far used) = £1827

chris

edited to add ANOTHER feckin F1 - two punctures in one day, whats all that about !!

Bloody hell chris, you make it sound like you didn't have a choice!

I wish I had that sort of dosh at my disposal, come to think of it I have, that's probably why I'm phoning MRO tomorrow.

Now look what you've started.

But seriously, if there's any newcomers to this link, once you've spent 10K on modding your car, it does become less of a drain on your wallet.............

April expenditure:

Optimax - £ 200
new header tank and hoses - £50
exterior mods (tomorrow) - £135
Insurance - £ 56
Service - £ 175
HKS panel filter and crystal side repeaters - £65

Total - £681.00

F@@king hell, only had the car 7 weeks.

Mine for this month:

2x front tyres last week = £175 fitted
Extended warranty at start of month = £460
60k Service at start of month = £670

Next month is
Colourcoding = £130
Removal of scrape on rear quarter + blending = £120
STi6 front lip = £180
Spray front bumper + front lip = £130
Might get bonnet done as its somewhat stonechipped = £200
ScoobySport decat center = £100odd
declare above to insurance = £270

All this is without the 80miles/day worth of Optimax and the finance on the car...

I hope that's all tho..

Andy

Ouch

I'm about to get a pair of those tyres delivered for £110 so £100 for one seems a bit steep (but is still cheaper than I paid for the first pair [£230])

Just had an unexpected expenditure also - flashing CEL on my MY98 = immobiliser failure.

Immobilier unit £125
New coded keys £40 each
Labour £135

Edited to add : in 15 montsh of ownership my scooby has cost £4500 to run all in (insurance, parts, servicing, MOT, Road Tax etc)

I am having a particularly bad one this month...

90,000 Service - £405
Eibachs - £140
Prodrive Geometry Settings reapplied - £50

Total - £595

If you add finance and fuel not to mention the d/v i've been offered for a ridulous price i'm looking at well over 1k's worth of expenditure this month.

Tis worth it though.

I thought mine was bad enough Chris with a Snooper 6-R coming and a new F1 for a similar reason to yours. Hopefully next monthe will be better.

All of the above = PENNIES

Blow your gearbox, then your engine, mix it with your 90k service, replace disks and pads all round, then we'll start to haggle from there

Border Coachworks at Thruxton Ind Estate, 01264 772422. Ask for Roger, tell him Chris Davidson gave you his number. I've been told they call him 'Spot on Rog' - i was very pleased with mine .

It's cheaper if you take the bits off yourself like i did. the most expensive part is the paint, he mixes it himself. i paid £20 an hour labour which IIRC is feckin cheap!

That includes everything, Subaru parts inc cambelt + all fluids and ALL checks - wheels off etc etc...

I shop around. Still isn't the cheapest i've heard of though.
