you need to be careful with covers.
If the car is not clean when you put the cover on and it is windy you will end up with loads of scratches on the car where the cover was moving in the wind.
Make sure you get one that is a tight fit !!
good luck.

hmmm, just had a thought. if the car was a bit dirty and you didnt want to scratch it etc. could you not put some clean sponges under the cover at the points where it touches the car??
probably a stupid idea, but i'm sure there is some use in it.

Word of warning. Spent over £200 on one many years ago - when STi V was 'new' period. Had one on the prevuious TVR for many years. The Scoob one lasted a month before being lifted. It wasnt the wind either as the cord had been snipped... Still annoyed, but happy to have a house with a garage now!

i use one from argos £19;99 for my wrx bugeye tied to the wheels and i bourght a king size bed spred from a jumbled sale for £1;50
to protect the car from scratches .
works ok , i let the car cool for a while before covering it as i found condensation forms if i cover it to soon /still hot.

I thought about looking into a cover too as I dont have a garage....
But then I thought that far from making it less conspicuous it might actually make it more so, what with the huge spoiler and all. I'm just worried about people trying to see what is underneath the cover.....

I bought one for just this use from Specialised Car Covers (after checking all alternatives for quality/cost)
http://www.carcoversuk.com/
Their top-of-the-range outdoor breathable fabric gives an element of physical protection (birds, cats claws etc) as well as being breathable and waterproof - and it's blue....
It is custom made for the scoob (mine's an MY03 STi) with mirror pockets and custom made for the large rear spoiler. Elasticated around the front and rear, with securing straps that run under the car.
As mentioned before, I only use my car infrequently and only put the cover on when it's spotlessly clean. It's on now, as I cleaned it yesterday.
Not sure if it makes it less conspicuous sat on the drive though. Let me know if you want pictures of it, with the cover on, and I'll gladly email some over. Would be better in this respect if the material were available in black - but it's not...
Oh - and it cost just over 200 quid as well, so not cheap.
I'm sure you can get cheaper 'custom fit' covers - though many of these are either generic or 'custom made' in the US and shipped over. SCC covers are hand made, the boss owns a Scoob and they have the MY03 patterns.
(Edited to say that it's not a two minute job taking the cover off or putting it on - you'd soon get very fed up doing it every night/morning. It takes me at least 5 mins, and it's easier with two people).
