Annoying rattle/knocking....!

has just started coming from under the dash of my MY02 
. Round about the stereo / vent area. Anyone else had a similar problem, what might it be?? I would go to the Subaru garage but it's a 50 mile round trip, seems a bit far for a rattle!
I was going to take the silver facia off at the weekend to have a look, anybody know how to / done this before?
Any advice appreciated
