Wierd as a few weeeks ago it was 83.9p from my local shell garage, then it dropped to 79.9, and last night it was 77.9p a litre
Hope they havent got their prices wrong, as the next Shell Garage (1/2 mile away on the same road), is still 83.9, as is the Motorway Services (about 2 miles from my house)

Hope it stays low then, i've got loads of Optimax stations round me, but not using it since i bought the new car.
Would be tempted to go onto it if they were going to kep the prices low.
Lastime i bought it, i paid 83.9 too.

This is where living close to Austria is very nice indeed. Every couple of weeks I drop over the border, fill up, and also fill up a few gallon drums Lovely at around 85 EURO Cents per litre

Someone tell me, is Optimax worth the extra dosh?
I'm running a 1.8 GL impreza, '93, if that changes anyone's opinion, but I'm never sure about this. Extra fuel economy? What is the difference? - especially when I can get u/l for 73p in other places.
Anyone?

Last week I asked a guy in a Shell garage in Belfast if Optimax had reached Norn Iron yet. He replied "What's that then, a new type of credit card?"
I also tried to fill up near the M1 (Shell, Stockmans Lane) and they had their pumps on s-l-o-w so that the joyriders don't get away with much. I gave up after £20 as I figured I had better things to do with my life. Took nearly 10 minutes!

Yoza
Yep thats the one, just off Jct 7 M62
Funny I filled up there again today and it is still 77.9p, just been to London & back, and got 370 miles out of a full tank, damn economical that Shell Garage
But DO NOT USE HILTON PARK Services, I pulled up there to fill up, and SUL was 86.9p a Litre, so I put a tenner in, and it has just got me home, so back to the Shell Garage in the morning for another fill up

Damn. Thanks to a weak pound, Dutch petrol is now dearer than your stuff!!
So if you guys are paying 78p / litre you have cheaper petrol than Holland. I pay = 84p litre (€1.18) for 98RON super.
Bloody rip off Holland!! Mumble, mumble it's all Balkenende's fault etc. etc. etc.
Nice weekend

79.9 in Northampton last night. Milton Keynes is always 3-4 pence a litre more than Northampton.
Morrison's supermarket (supplied by Texaco) had normal 95 RON unleaded for 72.9 as did Tesco's.
Andy.
