I've owned my Scoob about a month,
On the drive home after picking it up it kept popping out of 5th gear (the imfamous 5th gear problem) so off to the dealers I went who diagnosed and booked me in for: a gearbox overhaul, new clutch and flywheel, new window rubber (suspect something dodgy's been used to clean it) and a new dash cubby lid. Thankfully all under warranty.
Shortly after this some little **** threw an egg at the car as I was driving and chipped the paint on the drivers door. Unfortunately for the ****** in question, I know where he lives!
A couple of days ago I got a tiny stone chip in the windscreen which developed into a footlong crack (apparently not that uncommon in Essex!) the day before the MOT was due!
And last night I was nearly sideswiped by a car which then proceeded to wipe out in front of me in classic 'Days of Thunder' stylee, thankfully nobody was hurt.
My question is....
AM I FU##ING JINXED OR WHAT????
Has the car become cursed due to having a private plate? (like changing the name on a ship) or is it just the gold wheels?
Is this sort of hassle normal with Scooby ownership? I'm now permanently paranoid everytime I drive it, I'm paranoid whenever I park it up somewhere, and I'm just waiting for the next thing to go t1ts up.
It's a great car but I'm beginning to think it's not worth all this hassle.
Regards
A very glum Dave.

Not jinxed Mate - it's just that you care about the car, so these 'incidents' assume a greater importance.
Oh, and by the way, PMSL at "a footlong crack (apparently not that uncommon in Essex!)". Must visit you sometime....

You're faced with a big dilema though, you could keep it and risk having everything on it break at massive expense or you could sell it but with your luck you'd choose the day that the motor trade falls flat on it's **** resulting in massive expense again!
You could have it nicked...on second thoughts though....
Good luck
