There is a Haynes manual for the Impreza, but its more about the cars history than technical info

Might be quicker to write directly to Haynes. I think you could say quite accurately that there are not many on this net who don't want one.

The Impreza isnt realy a mass market car and it costs Haynes alot of money to produce such manuals.
Some one a while ago found out how many manuals would have to be sold to make it worth their while (about a thousand i think) and then what year would it be ?? 95 to 97, 98 to 00, 01 to 03 ect ect. We would need 4 haynes manuals just to cover the UK cars, thats 4 thousand that need to be sold never mind the Jap imports.

Wink

Have you lifted the bonnet I use to take my old fords apart took one look at the impreza engine and decided I would pay someone else to do it for me . Dont fancy a bill for 5000 to put my engine back together because I wanted to save 100 quid.

im not trying to save money, i just wanna have the manual to help take the guess work out of things. I work on my own car for fun, i have always worked on my cars, like most peaople on here i enjoy it. it still gets serviced by subaru main dealer so that i have the service history (had 60,000 mile service last week @ £387)

There is a workshop manual - downloadable from here

I have serviced my Impreza since I bought it 18 months ago. It's not that difficult when you get your head around the pancake engine...

I did the cambelt last week, and it was a lot easier than every other car I've done.

I also think Haynes have been asked before, and they decided it wasn't worth their while... Shame

Hi All,

it would be feasable, after all all they do is cover a generic vehicle, and then add chapters for the specific model differences

mind you the new way they do wiring diagrams is S***t its all common earth and blocks,,, bring back the old cortina maze style,, at least you could trace when the wires chaged in the loom

I believe there is one for the 'Legacy'. Many of the parts/bits
are the same, so should be of some help - check EBAY, they
sometimes appear there
