Not sure if i should post this, if people object i shall remove it!

Go to elephant.co.uk HERE and put in you details for a quote. On the part it askes for the reg plate put in the plate you want to know what car it belongs to.
The site will then tell you the make, model, year etc of the car the plates off.
I was doing this to find out what car had a plate i'd seen a while ago.
Seen jimmy whites before CUE 8OY and CUE 13OY.
Looked aslo for DEL 80Y but found that was on a 1980's Datsun.

Have a look and post what you find, as i said i will delete if too many people don't like.

Don't you have to pay for a HPI check.

If you put the plate into an online insurance quote you can get the same details

I did this on a car I saw at. A spanky looking C class, nice wheels, lowered etc. Popped in the reg plate and it told me it was only a 1.8. All show and no go.

None of the online insurance sites recognise my reg plate.

....well that's probably only what they declare the car to be!!! Could be all sorts of mods under the bonnet
