Has anyone with a STI8 been told that their bushes on rear suspension will have to be replaced to stop a rattle that comes from parcel shelf area,apparently a few STI8s have had it done allready under warranty.

 

No, not been mentioned to me, but thought I heard a rattling from that area - thought it was my paranoia!!!

I only hear it around town when the stereo is turned down but when i told my dealer at its 1000 oil change they said they would order new bushes and fit them,they also said they have had a couple in that rattle and the owners havnt noticed.

 

Mine doesn't so much rattle, but sounds more like a creak/click which can constantly be heard from the rear of the car. When I've sat in the back, it's allways sounded like it was coming from somewhere around the rear window area... is the sound getting displaced somehow, or does it sound completely un-related? There are no other noises from the back.

i have heared a strange rattle/bang which can be heared when going over deep bump / off a kerb, comes from rear left shock and is really annoying - could this be the same thing?

 

can someone direct me to the bush (i know where they are loacted in the female body )?...i get a hell of a lot of noise coming from somewhere in the back and it looks like you've pin-pointed the problem. so what the blikin' flip is a bush?

[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] also has anyone with the DCCD system experienced a real nasty shuddering (like you've got a Nova caught under the steering) when turning corners in first gear but is completely OK in the normal 50:50 split (auto)?
