Question

OK so after previously running a UK spec car,
I now have learnt the hard way that IMPORTS need to be run on Optimax... (Meltdown)

So which OIL should an IMPORT use??

Also Anything else I should Know???

Its a 1999 "V" Reg (But I have been told its a 2000 spec version 5, And it is indeed Identical to to 2000 "X" I previously owned)

Best using the following if you can:

Fuel: Optimax / SUL + Booster - Say NF or Millers, tho you could get away with running no booster it's not worth it imo.

Oil: Castrol RS 10/60 or Motul 300v 15/50 come the most recommended.

Don't change induction kit (If its an STI) as you'll blow your MAF to bits, the only induction kit which is the safest is really the K&N.

Don't use a VTA d/v as it spoons the fuellling.....

I have a 99 STI V5

Just changed all the oils, and I'm using Motul 300v 15/50 for the engine (4.5 litres), Castrol Syntrax oil for the gearbox (3.5 litres), always use optimax and NF octane booster.

I'm using a K&N induction kit too, no problems as yet. As previously mentioned the K&N induction offers the best filtration, subsequently less of a risk to your MAF sensor.
