I get (quite often) a Clicking noise when the car is coming onto boost. After visiting the SIDC Site I found the following :

"Solenoid can be noisy (clicking), and in extreme circumstances can cause sudden loss of power when accelerating hard."

It also goes on to say that it can be caused by too much oil. The oil level Is quite High on my MY93 (presumably it should be only up as far as the second hole on the dipstick).

If this is my problem, where can I find the solenoid that need cleaning...

Ta Muchly.......

Find the wastegate (small metal drum on top of the turbo unit),follow the vacuum line that is attached to it, back to the (probably yellowish) metal cylinder mounted to the right inner fender, there probably are 3 vacuumlines and a wireloom connected to this. This is the boost solenoid.
Good luck,
René
