Much the same as the other thread up here at the moment describing the great driving side of Scooby ownership I would have to agree.

The bit I like is the first time I take someone out for a spin ..... always go nice and slow to start with then exit a roundabout near me in second with a long striaght infront ..... Nail it and wait for the swear words ....they always come from the passenger and it makes me grin every single time.

Cant be beaten especially in this weather

i'm at work at the moment.

but your thread just made me wish i was in the 03 wrx having a blast.

windows open, music OFF, appreciating the looks people give it and so enjoying the dynamics of the thing.

god, i need a day of in this weather.

Faster when it's breathing the colder air Gary

You've still got that to look forward to mate and unlike your old TVR you'll be able to use the extra power in the dodgier weather

Enjoy

I have to admit I slipped into the "got used to the power" brigade and was looking for lots more...then I had to go pick up a friend who'd never sat in an STi or even a scooby before. Everything was fine (tootling along) until I decided to overtake...brown trouser moment for him and he spent the rest of the evening telling ppl at our bbq just how quick a scoob can accelerate.

Also...have to agree about putting the windows down and turning the music off..did all four windows down today and revelled in the roar of the STi7 at low gears and then reminded myself how big the grin gets when you really cane it. And that's with a standard back-box.

In short, fantastically fun cars and every owner of every model cannot be disappointed.

I took a lad out from work, he said "this car is wasted on you, you cant drive".

What can you say to that, other than "walk home".

First time I was a passenger in a scoob it was my own with a very good driver and after three years of owning scoobs, yes I hate to be driven esp. in my own car. I then knew exactly what I had been doing to my passengers . I should have charged LOL .

The very first time that I ever heard my Mum say an 'extremely bad' word, was the first time that I took her out in my RB5.....(to a car boot sale)......

........you just don't expect your 'dear old Mother' to come out with 'words'like that,lol....I still don't know who was more shocked!!

Jon

The second day of Scooby ownership the missus and me Had Sunday dinner at my Mums and dropped the daughter of for babysitting
I had not got used to where the clutch bites so at a set of traffic lights, at amber the revs built up and green we take off before we know it we are doing the best 0-60 start I ever done

But we had to stop 500 yards down the road for the wife to chuck her lunch all I got was Tongue Pie
