Don't know how to make it clicky, but this is the kind of thing that everyone who ever buys an imported car, (or other) should look out for.
Don't think this company will get much business from now on, and rightly so.
Sometimes the internat is a beautiful thing.

Guess it's a bit of an "Evo in a lake" but it's still interesting reading.
Made me chuckle Reveilside anyone ?
In fact he's advertising a Nice Evo 8, and above it in Japanese it says 'Mazda's design'. It looks like he was just trying to give the impression of being Japanese to add to his credibility. Not that he's got much of that anymore!

Like I said. I think things like this are what the internet is for! Be aware guys and gals, there is always some little B.Stard who will try and rob you blind, but there is always a way to hurt them where it counts.

Blimey this is the same place I bought my 93wrx from. About a month after I bought the car I had a visit from customs and excise saying they were investigating him for VAT fraud They said I was ok because I provided them with the reciept which they took away for evidence. I did get a full independant inspection on the vehicle so it is mechanically sound and has been fine for 3 years but I thought he would have learnt his lesson when customs went knocking on his door

A mate lives close by - he's known as a local menace.
They constantly buy bangers, do up the body work and flog them off as top bargains.
Phone numbers keep changing, bloke keeps changing his name.
They race the cars they are going to sell up and down the street where the guy lives.
One hopes that one day they get what's coming to them when every person they've ripped off turns up on the doorstep now they know where he lives.

Primary responsibility for following up the misuse of a trademark (if indeed the "other" Veilside have TM'd it) would be the "other" Veilside's legal department, or that of their appointed representative in the UK.
The DTI wouldn't chase it up unilaterally. About the only chance a third party would have of sticking it to them on these grounds would be if you approached Trading Standards on the basis that you bought a car from this joker thinking he was part of the "real" Veilside.

I've not had any dealings with that individual, but there appear to be a number of people on here (and also on MLR) who say they have, themselves. If enough of those contacted the DTI/Trading Standards - then it would (hopefully!) be pursued.
