I'm about to get my first Impreza within the next week or so..Just wondered b4 i hand over my hard earned cash if theres anything i should be looking for that might cause me problems.

Impreza 4 door WRX
01 reg
14000 miles
turbo seats
twin headlight kit
cat back magnex exhaust
fully colour coded bumpers & skirts
£14,995

thx in advance for any advice...
hope to be part of the experience very soon

When you say turbo seats do you mean the bucket seats? These are a must, some of the early 01 WRX's came with normal "sports" seats which were crap. Make sure you get one with buckets

I'd try and haggle down a little bit on the price. Check for things like tyre wear as a new set is probably going to set you back £400+ and full dealer history, etc, etc.

Nearly forgot, make sure it's a UK car if you are paying that sort of price.

Nothing wrong with the EU imports but they usually fetch slightly less than the UK car.

Looking at Subaru dealerships £14,999 is about the going rate for a 01 WRX with that sort of milage. Are you purchasing from a dealer?. If so make sure the cat back magnex exhaust doesn't effect any warranty left on the car, thats if warranty is important to you.

thx all for the advice..

I am buying from a reputable dealer who sold the car from new and took it back in part ex for a brand new one ..

and full dealer s/h

the car is uk spec and it has recaro type seats with shoulder support (if thats the right description)

will let you know how i get on...just need to sell the merc now..goes in trader today..
