Question

As the title says.... which company did you use? Emporer, Litchfiled etc. Did you get good service, delivery on time etc. Any info you have would be most appreciated.

Cheers,

Tony.

Yep.... mines beginning to show it's age now. From looking at the various websites if i order in the next few months i should have one by next March. The wait's not ideal but that is when my insurance runs out so could be good timing.

Try chiark, I know he bought his from a UK Dealer but I'm sure he will have checked out the various Importers prior to deciding to buy UK

I have had a quick word, he got a bit of a discount with a UK dealer. I may take this coarse as i was thinking about getting the PPP, the euro imports have to have this fitted in the country of origin .

Tone

I purchased mine through Iain Litchfield at Litchfield Imports...

Good service, all in all - and a good price.

Email me as per profile if you wish to know any more - especially WRT the PPP options...

Eurekar

Very helpful customer sevice

£16,706 all in when I ordered it last November (good exchange rate back then - fixed til delivery). Received car with alarm fitted in early April (as expected).

Would probably do it all myself in future tho' (just to save the couple of hundred extra quid )

Another vote for Well Lane then..... only problem with that is i want the PPP and don't fancy the drive to europe to get it fitted.

Just phoned Well Lane, the 03 WRXs are £18295 with a cat 2 alarm. If you say at least £350 for a cat 1 alarm then you're looking at £18645. After speaking to some UK dealers i could get one for about £19250 so a saving of £605....... not worth it at all. I'd rather get the uk car and have less hassle, better resale values, PPP fitted locally rather than europe etc. If the saving was a few £1000 then fine but £600 isn't worth it.

Yup, the hayday of importing is over in my eyes

Add on the cost of 3 years subaru assist to your import, and it's all rather marginal. Especially for a 5 door.

I got my car from Crossroads Garage, which is a UK franchised Subaru dealer near Shipston on Stour. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending speaking to Jon Mathers, the sales chap there.

good luck
