I was a bad person recently... I took a scooby onto a beach... I know, I know, I am repentent... Or I was after I had 3 jetwashes and more than an hour under the car with an airline blowing/washing/brushing/scraping nasty corrosive sand of the car's underbits...

(Mind you, it was damn good fun on the beach!)

Ynyslas nr Borth on Mid Wales coast has a good beach to drive on also, it's the Aberdovey Estuary sand flats, and its surrounded by Sand Dunes with a nice nature reserve and dune board walks, had many hours of fun on here. Suggest you go when it's not too busy with holiday makers!!
I.e NOT August bank holiday.......

Well I thought I'd found a good place when I took the car on to a great expanse of grass in Windsor Great Park earlier this year (Sunday evening about 10pm)
It wasn't just me - I blame peer pressure, eh Ian? Lots of fun was had chewing up the grass.
Anyway, when the police turned up they weren't to keen on it. It was also a bit hard to deny given that my car had a full
head of grass growing on it.
They'd seen us from the road (a good 300 yards away), we were doing doughnuts so it looked like a couple of lighthouses had been installed in the middle of the field. DOH!
It was dead easy to clean (except for getting the grass and mud out from behind the rear bumper).
We got off with an informal warning. I don't know how the sheep get away with it though - may be they only eat the grass when the police aren't watching.
I remember ages ago taking a Sierra Saphire on to Stockport beach. We basically drove it into the sea and charged up and down the beach doing handbrake turns. But I was much youger and immature then
Regards
James

I spent the best part of two days underneath my S2 RST after Glatonbury '98, cleaning clods of $hit from it.
For some obscure reason I thought it'd be okay driving a car that nearly scraped the petrol tank on a normal road, through foot deep mud!
Getting it stuck in the quagmire was inevitable, so we found one of the most open fields to go for a wee rag on the first day - don't think the parking attendants were too happy getting covered from head to foot!
Suffice to say, the car was not recognisably black any more, upon our exit from Shepton Mallet.....
